Tate Zeman had to be a wrestler. The Avon junior was walking on mats shortly after learning how to walk and the sport has been as much a part of his life as eating and sleeping.
“Everyone in my family has wrestled — my dad, my grandpa, (my older brother) Zane,” Zeman said. “Pretty much I’d go to all of Zane’s tournaments and help him warm up, even though I was a lot smaller than him. I started hanging out with him and his friends, and we’d wrestle and eventually my dad just signed me up for the youth program.”
Zeman didn’t have to be a great wrestler. He decided to do that on his own.
