AVON — Dedication, devotion, sacrifice and loyalty.

All of the impressive words describe Avon’s Jules Frombach and Jack Roesch, who were chosen as the Lorain County Athletic Administrators Association Athletes of the Year on Tuesday night at the Avon Brewing Company.

Becoming a stellar high school athlete is tough enough, and it takes devotion to academics and a loyalty to the sports teams to perform at such a high level in both arenas. The awards recognize the dual pursuits.

Frombach has been the face of girls sports at Avon for the last four years, earning 13 varsity letters in cross country, track, basketball and lacrosse while maintaining a 3.8 GPA on a 4-point scale.
