A special Parent-Student Information Letter that was sent out to families via email on Tuesday, March 17. To view the contents of this letter, please click the link below.

In conjunction with Avon High, we are encouraging our families to engage the Eagle community in some school spirit activities, themes, and challenges that can keep us connected during this time. To participate, read about the theme or challenge, decide how you want to demonstrate your participation (dressing up, doing an activity, etc.), and then take a picture or short video. Tweet the picture or video and tag @AMSEagle to share!
The @AMSEagle Twitter page will be updated to share community involvement as well as other ways you can be involved. Here is our calendar so far:
  • March 30: “Move It Monday” ~ Play in your yard, take a walk, learn a YouTube dance, do an at-home workout. How are you staying active at home?
  • April 1: “April Fools’ Day!” ~ Make this Wednesday "wacky" by wearing a silly outfit and sharing your (appropriate) favorite jokes!
  • April 3: “Art Day” ~ In honor of our cancelled District Art Fair, post your artwork in a window at your home for all to see, or put your artistic skills to use and make a work of art or a craft to share online! Chalk drawing on driveways is a great way to show off your art.
  • April 7: “Twinning Tuesday” ~ Call a friend to coordinate outfits. Share a photograph of what you and your “twin” decided to wear!
  • April 9: “Thankful Thursday” ~ Make a card, write a letter, or create a social media post to share with someone (or some pet!) to let them know why you are thankful for them.

Annually, The Chronicle-Telegram conducts the "Design/Write an Ad" Contest, in which students can submit their creative work for an advertisement. This year's winners will have their work displayed in the newspaper on Tuesday, April 7, 2020.
Avon Middle winners include the following students:
  • Madelyn Nelson - Mike Bass Ford
  • Alyssa Wallace - Murphy Bros. Auto Shop
  • Alex Dumm - Murphy Bros. Auto Shop
  • Kaleb Keffer - Nick Abraham Ford in Elyria
  • Angelina Rose - Northcoast Eye Care
  • Lily Goins - Krystowski Tractor
Grand Prize winners are Angelina Rose and Madelyn Nelson, who will be receiving special recognition and will be featured in The Chronicle-Telegram. Also, special recognition is extended to Olivia Capadona, Alyssa Wallace, and Marisa Weller for their creative cover designs. Congratulations to all our great student artists and writers. Also, special thanks goes to art teachers Mr. Yagoda and Mrs. Cislo.
