The 40th annual Avon Reynolds Relays provided a thrilling finish on April 29, with host Avon sweeping both team titles. On the boys side, it came down to the final event with the 4×200 relay vying for the title with Westlake. Heading into the final event, Avon held a 88-84 lead, then the Eagles’ relay (Cole Zamborsky, Mike Rennette, Will Wendling and Jared DeMicco) finished fifth (four points), while Westlake was third (six poing), giving Avon just enough for a 92-90 edge.
