Boys Soccer: Avon defeats Midview

The Midview Middies Boys Soccer visited Avon tonight in a very one sided match.  The young Midview team was outshot by Avon 23 to 2.  In the 8th minute of the first half, Avon senior Owen Lacko blasted the ball upper 90 from the top of the six yard box, assisted by Tyler Muir.  One minute later freshman Keegan Dawson assisted Nicolas Soulas for Avon’s second goal.  Then in reverse fashion Avon’s Muir scored off an assist from Lacko.  Midview’s goalkeeper Cole Thompson entered halftime with 12 shots on goal saving 9.   Off a thru ball by by defender Adam Kalvitz, Soulas was left wide open in front of the goal to score Avon’s first goal in the second half.   One minute later Sean Hesketh crossed the ball to brother Jared Hesketh who placed it in the net to bring the score to 5-0.  With 20 minutes left of play Avon’s Jake Netkowicz put one in the goal with an assist from S. Hesketh.  Netkowicz finished the game strong assisting Nick Minotti with the final  goal of the game.  The final score of the game was 7-0.  Avon’s goalkeeper Dylan Morris had 2 saves and goalkeeper Alec Murray 0 while Midview’s Thompson had 16 saves.
