As Avon dives deeper into its postseason run, the Eagles continue to see familiar opponents.

The first round was Westlake, which was formerly in the Southwestern Conference. Then it was Olmsted Falls, a fierce conference rival. Now, it will be Toledo Central Catholic in the Division II, Region 6 final.

This will be a rematch of the 2021 Region 6 final, which the Eagles won, 43-42, in overtime.

The game will take place in Sandusky, but not at the home of the Blue Streaks such as the year prior, but …

"We know that (TCC has) remarkable athletes. We do the same thing that we always do. We are going to get the film, we are going to get the matchups and see what they offer and find some weak spots and exploit it," said Avon coach Mike Elder.
