High school football preview: Avon’s running attack packs powerful 1-2 punch with Luke Hamilton and Jakorion Caffey

Sometimes football is a simple game.
With Luke Hamilton, a 6-foot-6, 295-pound force at left tackle, blocking for Jakorion Caffey, a ferocious running back set to rewrite the school record book, it's no secret Avon's rushing attack will give opponents headaches all season long.
Both seniors will take their talents to Division I next year- Hamilton at Michigan and Caffey at Cincinnati. Until then, they'll help Avon pile up yards once more.
"It's so good to have Luke Hamilton," Caffey said. "He's a very talented tackle and it's always fun to run behind him because you know he's going to bury someone if we need him to. He's always going to have that block ready for you or that hole open for you. It's always nice to know that hole is going to be open almost every single play."
The feeling is mutual because Hamilton said Caffey doesn't need much space to make things happen. He's already one of the program's most decorated backs with 3,051 yards and 44 touchdowns for his career, the bulk of the production coming the past two seasons.
