How about DeTillio to Holbrook?
Sam DeTillio to Ethan Holbrook that is, and it's just as familiar to Avon football fans as the famous NFL combos.
"And we're both gingers (redheads)," said DeTillio with a laugh. "It's just meant to be."
The senior duo are ready to take the Eagles on a flight through the playoffs again this year. They connected for four touchdowns last week as Avon (10-1) rolled past Westlake 49-0 in their Division II postseason opener. Avon hosts North Royalton (7-4) tonight seeking its ninth straight win.
"We've had a great year," DeTillio said. "We built off last year. We took momentum and I took experience from it. I think that's what set me up to have another good year."
